This Week's 2 Cents
Hey {{first_name}}, every other week I share Your 2 Cents, a bite-sized money tip, myth, or story to make you richer in minutes.
The 4 Spring Money Moods (And What Each One Is Telling You)
Here's the thing about your money mood — it's not random. Every mood is actually data.
And your money mood shifts with the seasons. April? Prime reset time.
So where are you right now?

A) "Fresh start energy. Let's go."
What it means: You're ready and fired up. Don't let that momentum sit still.
Your move: Open a new savings account or sinking fund today.
(Sinking fund = a small savings bucket for a specific goal, like summer trips or concert tickets.)
Name it something that excites you. "Summer 2026." "Emergency Fund, Finally." "New Car, No Stress." The name makes it real.

B) "I've been avoiding my banking app."
What it means: Avoidance isn’t about laziness. It's usually about fear of what the number will say. But the number is already there whether you look or not.
Your move: Open the app for 60 seconds. Don't analyze. Don't spiral. Just look. That one look breaks the avoidance loop — and Dream Catchers don't avoid their numbers.

C) "Doing okay — but I know I could level up."
What it means: "Okay" is a plateau, not a destination. This mood is actually one of the most powerful, because you're stable enough to make a move without desperation.
Your move: Find one subscription you've been paying on autopilot and cancel it this week. Move that exact dollar amount to savings immediately. Small lever, real shift.

D) "Tax season still has me in a chokehold."
What it means: The deadline passed and you're still not done. Or you filed and now you owe. Either way, the spiral is real. But panic doesn't pay the IRS. A plan does.
Your move: If you haven't filed yet, file now. A late return is better than no return and stops the failure-to-pay penalties from stacking. If you owe, set up a payment plan directly with the IRS. You don't have to pay it all at once. You just have to start the conversation.
The point: your money mood isn't a judgment. It's a starting line. And every Dream Catcher starts from somewhere.
And… whatever you just picked? I’ve got the next step.
Because knowing your money mood is one thing.
Shifting it? That takes a plan.
